Day 1 - Marrakech- High Atlas Mountains- Kasbah Ait Benhaddou- Ouarzazate- Boumalne
On the first day of our 6-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will leave Marrakech and drive
through the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the mountainous
roads in North Africa. Along the way, we will see many charming Berber villages and stop to
admire the amazing landscapes. Next, we will also make a stop in the famous UNESCO World
Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified picturesque Kasbah made of earthen clay. After the
kasbah, we will carry on driving to Ouarzazate via the Valley of Roses in Kelaat M’gouna, before
we get to Dades Gorges, where we will spend the night in a local guesthouse

Day 2 - Boumalne Dades- Toudra Gorges- Merzouga- Sahara Desert
After a delicious breakfast in the morning, we will begin our drive to Todra Gorges, another
beautiful corner known for its towering cliffs, high mountains and picturesque river. Once there,
we will go for a short walk along the river and then our journey continues to the Sahara Desert.
As we go, we will pass through a few Berber towns of Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud and, eventually,
we will reach Merzouga Desert with its golden sand dunes. Here, we will take a break from
driving and catch a camel ride into the sunset. At nightfall, our camel men will drop us off at a
traditional desert camp in the heart of the Sahara. We will enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner,
listen to local music, and watch the bright stars above

Day 3 - Merzouga- Local Tour in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga
.We will wake up early to watch the magical desert sunrise over the dunes and take pictures.
After a nice breakfast, we are going to set out on a full day adventure to explore the Sahara and
its surroundings. We will use a 4×4 vehicle to explore the Desert & the neighboring villages. First
off, we will visit Khamlia village; we will meet Gnawa people and listen to their spiritual music.
Second, we will make a stop at some nomadic Berber family’s tent to see how they live and
share a cup of tea with them. Next, we are going to explore the old Mifis mines. In addition to
that, we will enjoy the beautiful views of the seasonal Dayet Sriji lake if there is water. Finally, we
will head back to our hotel in Merzouga to relax or try some of our activities such as
sandboarding or quad biking.

Day 4 - Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Agdz | Authentic Southern Morocco Experience
After a magical sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga, we leave the desert behind to continue our journey through the fascinating landscapes of southern Morocco. Our first stop is Rissani, the historic cradle of the Alaouite dynasty and a former caravan center. Here, you will explore its lively traditional market, where the scent of spices, fresh dates, and local craftsmanship creates a truly authentic Moroccan atmosphere.
We then travel through the breathtaking Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, famous for its endless palm groves, ancient mudbrick kasbahs, and dramatic desert scenery. The panoramic drive offers ever-changing landscapes, from fertile oases to rugged mountain backdrops — a true feast for the eyes.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Agdz, a peaceful town nestled at the gateway to the desert. Enjoy a relaxing evening in charming accommodation, surrounded by tranquility and authentic southern hospitality.

Day 5: Agdz – Marrakech | Scenic Journey Back to the Red City
After breakfast in Agdz, we begin our journey back to Marrakech, traveling through some of Morocco’s most breathtaking landscapes. The road takes us once again through the magnificent Draa Valley, where lush palm groves contrast beautifully with the surrounding desert scenery.
We then continue toward Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Desert,” before crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. This panoramic mountain road offers stunning views, dramatic peaks, and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides — a final opportunity to admire Morocco’s diverse and unforgettable landscapes.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech, where we will drop you off at your riad or hotel, marking the end of an incredible desert adventure filled with culture, discovery, and lifelong memories.

Day 6 – Marrakech- drop-off at airport
After our breakfast at the Riad, we will give you a ride to Marrakech Menara Airport for you to
catch your flight. Depending on your flight schedule, we may have some time for some last
minute shopping or a coffee in the medina. This marks the end of our 6-day tour from Marrakech AMALO ADVENTURES.
